Material
The shell is assembled from cotton panels — floral prints, gingham and plains — stitched together and quilted with a diamond pattern. Patchwork uses more fabric and labor than a single panel, so we hold a strict seam allowance and pre-wash all cotton to prevent shrinkage after sewing. The diamond quilting runs through the whole shell, which stabilizes the patchwork seams and adds structure. The fabric tag on the front is a stitched tab, not printed — it is there to be replaced with a brand label.
