We build this briefcase from 600D Oxford polyester with a water-resistant PU coating on the reverse side — the same fabric class used for outdoor gear, chosen because it holds its shape, resists fading, and sheds light rain without absorbing moisture. The 15.6-inch laptop compartment is lined with 10mm closed-cell foam on all sides, so the shell and the padding work together: the fabric takes the weather, the foam takes the impact. Zippers are YKK with custom-branded pullers, and every stress point — handle attachments, strap loops, the corners of the compartment — is bartacked and reinforced. Unlike a fashion tote, this is engineered as a daily carry tool: it survives the commute, the airport, and the years.
