Material
The shell is 350gsm faux velvet — dense enough to hold an octagon shape without a rigid frame, soft enough to protect contents. The gold stars are foil-printed, which gives a metallic finish that photographs well; foil is applied after cutting so the pattern aligns with the panel edges. Velvet needs a short-pile grade for bags: long-pile velvet traps lint and shows wear at the zipper line. We spec short-pile and brush it once during final QC.
