Material
The bags are cut from 1.5 mm polyester felt, a non-woven fabric made by matting and pressing fibers together. Felt is the right material for a small candy bag because the cut edges do not fray — there is no hem to unravel, so the bags keep their shape through a full season of stuffing and emptying. The material is stiff enough to stand open for easy loading, yet it folds flat for shipping, which keeps freight costs low. The handles are stitched on with a double row of stitches at each attachment point, and the prints are applied on the smooth face of the felt. Because felt is absorbent, we keep these to dry contents: candy in wrappers, toys, trinkets, and small gifts.

What sizes are available for these felt candy bags?
We make two sizes: 13 cm and 12 cm, measured at the height of the bag. The 13 cm size fits roughly 20 standard fun-size candy bars or a small toy and a handful of treats, which makes it the best fit for a classroom party favor or a single trick-or-treat stop. The 12 cm size is a touch more compact, ideal for a single candy bar, a small gift, or a jewelry pouch. Both sizes weigh about 20g empty, so they add almost nothing to shipping weight — 500 bags is only about 10 kg of product. If you need a different size, felt is easy to scale; we have made this style from 8 cm to 25 cm.
What material is used and how durable is it?
The bags are cut from polyester felt, roughly 1.5 mm thick, which is stiff enough to hold its boxy shape when empty but soft enough to fold flat for shipping. Felt has an advantage over woven fabric for small candy bags: the cut edges do not fray, so there is no hemming that can come undone, and the material does not stretch out of shape even when stuffed full. The handles are stitched on and carry a couple of pounds without issue. What is the MOQ, packaging, and lead time?
The MOQ is 500 pieces, which is very approachable for a first order of favor bags — at $0.40 FOB, that is a $200 order. The bags are packed flat, 10 per clear polybag and roughly 1,000 per export carton, so a full carton is light and cheap to ship. Pre-production samples take 5-7 days and mass production takes 15-18 days. Because these are small and light, air freight is economical for urgent orders, and we can have a 500-piece order ready for air shipment in about 3 weeks from artwork approval.
