A cylinder moves beyond the flat pouch category: it stands on countertops, stores brushes and bottles upright, and works across bedroom, bathroom and travel. Retail buyers use it to add a home-organization SKU to a travel line, and the silhouette gives gift programs a giftable, non-generic shape.
The cylinder is one of the harder shapes to make consistent: the body panel must be cut to an exact arc so the tube stands without leaning, and the base needs a stiffening insert or it will sag under bottle weight. The zipper runs along a curved line, so zipper tape tension is set differently from flat pouches - a sample that opens smoothly now will keep that behavior only if the factory keeps the same tension in bulk. Interior dividers, if any, must be anchored to the side wall, not just the base.
Give the factory diameter tolerance (a 20 cm spec that comes back 19.5 cm changes packaging fit) and state base stiffness expectations. Specify whether dividers are required and how many compartments. For the sample, stand it with weight inside for 24 hours and check for lean or base collapse. Confirm handle placement if you plan one - a handle stitched to a curved panel is a common failure point.
